Not sure when the last time you have traveled by airplane, but we want to give you our quick tips to make your travel day as smooth as possible.
- Make sure your name on your airlines reservations match your government issued identification
- If you have a preference, try to select your seat as soon as possible, preferably when making your airline reservations
- Sign-up for flight notifications through the airline’s website
- Include a luggage tag with your contact information on both the outside and inside of the bag
- Make sure your identification is NOT expired
- Plan your transportation to the airport at least one week from your departure date (friend pick-up, Uber/Lyft, park and ride, subway and etc.)
- Add some easily identifying mark on you luggage (such as a brightly colored ribbon, stickers or unique luggage tags)
- Check-in for your flight online 24 hours before flight
- Look at traffic conditions to the airport 4-5 hours before your flight
- Arrive at airport two hours before your flight (domestic) and 3 hours before your flight (international)
Once last thing, we like to encourage travelers to double check your flight details 24 hours before your flight to confirm your reservations, make sure your name is spelled correctly, confirm your departure time and the terminal you should arrive at.
We hope you found these tips helpful!
